We’re Sven’s Mom & Dad.
We’re two CS grads who used to run kids’ robotics workshops. Now we have one student, and he’s a tough crowd.
We write down what we try with him: building, art, science, stories, and the stuff that flopped. If you want ideas to try this weekend, whether you have a Makeblock robot, a ₱200 Shopee kit, or just a junk drawer, stay a while.

How we do it at home
These aren’t rules we follow. They’re patterns we noticed after doing this long enough.
Play First.
We set it out and step back. If he’s not into it, we try another day.
Learn it, then make it.
We read up and talk it through, then build. Making is what makes it stick.
Screens are okay if he is making something.
Coding and drawing apps, yes. Endless videos, not so much.
Flops count.
When something doesn’t work, we figure out why. Those often make the best posts.
